description: Documentation for the old Futrou v1.

## Futrou v1

This is documentation for the old Futrou v1, which has a different architecture and different principles from the current platform. If you're starting a new project, start with the latest [Futrou v2 documentation](/docs/) instead — see the [Serverlets](/docs/serverlet/), [DNS](/docs/dns/), and [Proxy](/docs/proxy/) sections to get going.

Futrou v1 is, after 5 years, being sunset: it now receives only security fixes and no new features. Existing users and services will be migrated to Futrou v2 gradually over time.
